O.B.Wiik AB purchases 15,000 m² of land for new HQ in Sweden

News

O.B.Wiik AB, a leading provider of fabric-engineered buildings and part of the Zurhaar Group, has taken a significant step forward with the acquisition of 15,000 m² of land in Sweden.

This new site will house their state-of-the-art headquarters, designed to support the company’s continued growth and streamline operations. The contract for the purchase was finalised in December, with CEO Johan Eckerby overseeing plans to relocate his team to the new premises by autumn next year.

The development is a collaborative effort involving Hallmaker AS, a fellow member of the Zurhaar Group specialising in the design and construction of high-quality steel buildings. Hallmaker will build modern office facilities tailored to O.B.Wiik AB’s operational needs. Additionally, the site will feature a large yard and two bespoke fabric-engineered buildings manufactured by O.B.Wiik AB for storage and logistics purposes.

Zurhaar Group CEO Rune Birkeland, who played a pivotal role in financing the 40 million SEK investment, expressed his enthusiasm for the project during a site visit with Johan Eckerby. “This investment demonstrates our unwavering confidence in O.B.Wiik Sweden and reflects the strength of the Zurhaar Group. The new facilities will both enhance O.B.Wiik’s operational capabilities and set the stage for continued innovation and success.”

This landmark development highlights collaboration throughout the Zurhaar Group, with Hallmaker AS and O.B.Wiik AB working together to create top-class headquarters. By combining their strengths, the Group continues to foster innovation, efficiency, and growth across its companies.
